COVIC Advanced Physical Intervention and Handcuff (non-SIA)

The COVIC Level 2 in Advanced Physical Intervention and Handcuff training has been specifically designed for Door Supervisors, Event/Festival Security Operatives and Close Protection Operatives to achieve a higher level of skills and knowledge in the use of disengagement, restrictive techniques and handcuffing which is not covered in the SIA Physical Intervention unit.

An advanced level of Physical Intervention Training is required to be effective as a private Security Operative as it is reasonable to suspect that an Operative will have to manage incidents of violence, aggression or use force to ensure the safety of the public or their client at some point in their career.

Possession of an Advanced Physical Intervention and Handcuff qualification will only serve to  improve an Operative’s chance of employment and provide them with an edge over the competition.

Many training providers separate their Advanced PI and Handcuff courses meaning an Operative would have to pay for attending 2 individual courses as well as taking extra time out to complete them. COVIC Training Solutions run both courses at the same time. This enables an Operative to gain two qualifications from just 1 course, providing excellent value for money! In addition, that Operative doesn’t have to take any more time out of their schedule to attend an extra course.
